Mes thèmes de recherche sont regroupés autour de l'étude du Paléolithique Moyen et de la transition vers le Paléolithique Supérieur et en particulier, les modèles d'utilisation du territoire par les préhistoriques. La dispersion des populations humaines (modernes) m'intéresse particulièrement. Je complète actuellement neuf ans de recherches sur le terrain en Crimée (Ukraine) sur des sites du Paléolithique Moyen (Starosele, Kabazi V, Karabi Tamchin). Je débute maintenant des recherches sur l'utilisation du territoire pendant le Paléolithique Moyen et au début du Paléolithique Supérieur dans la péninsule Ibérique (Espagne et au Portugal). L'archéozoologie m'a aussi mené à faire des recherches plus diversifiées, par exemple sur la paléoethologie et la taxonomie des équidés, sur le mode de croissance de l'os et des dents ainsi que des recherches ethnoarchéozoologiques en Tunisie, entre autres.
